SAFESTWAGERING (HORSES)
BELMONT

Doubles,Pick3's, Pick 4:
Race 6) 2/5 (If a scratch, add #3)
Race 7) 1/2/9
Race 8) 2/5 (If a scratch, add #1)
Race 9) 1/2/3/7

Race 6) 6 Furlongs OC 25k/N2x

# 5 Glory Game (morning line 7-2)
Has exceeded expectations, coming from a 4k sire, and being
risked for a tag in first lifetime start. He won a nice stake in his 2nd race,
beating a next out G-3 winner pretty convincingly.
Today's stock is filled with many who need the front, and expect the
early speed to break down for these 2 who are strong closers.

Safer Bet:
a) #5 to Win, Place or Show

Exotics:
b) Trifecta Box: 2/5 with 2/5 with 1/3/6/7

Race 7) 6 Furlongs (Inner Turf) Clm 20,000B

#2 More Chances (morning line 9-2)
Has hardly made any money for new connections since being claimed
almost a year ago. But..... he looked much better in last after getting a needed turnout, is back for 2nd start on the drop, and has had his share of viable excuses.

Safer Bet:
a) #2 to Win, Place or Show

Exotics:
b) Exacta Box: 1/2/9
c) Trifecta Box: 1/2/9
d) .10 Super 1/2/9 with 1/2/9 with 1/2/9 with 3/4/5/7/8

Race 8) 6 Furlongs OC 75k/N3X

#5 Frazil(morning line 8-5)
The Trainer (Linda Rice) made one adjustment to make this former cheap claimer competitive with much better. That was more time off between starts.
This gelding has shown heart on the front, from behind, in routes and in sprints.
You don't get many late bloomers like this one.

Safer Bet:
a) #5 to Win, Place or Show

Exotics:
b) Exacta: 5 with 1/2
c) Trifecta: 5 with 1/2

WUNDERDOG (HORSES)

Belmont Park Race #4 at 2:30 PM Eastern

Top pick: #2 (SIGGI THE ALIEN) - Lightly-raced filly raced evenly last out for $65K in a one mile turf race and this afternoon will drop way down in price, go turf to dirt, and shorten up in distance. Working fast for this and barn has her spotted where she can win.

2nd pick: #1 (One Game Dame) - Santa Anita shipper raced evenly in her debut there Mar. 4th racing for $30K and comes cross country to a new barn (Dave Jacobson). Runs for the first time in 3 1/2 months and will drop down for this attempt. Has the rail and should be competitive today.

3rd pick: #6 (Sweet Bibby) - First-time starter catches a very weak field for her debut and is in a barn (Rudy Rodriguez) that can have one ready first out. She need not be much to factor againist this field.

4th pick: #4 (Mahogany Mist) - Unseen since last July at Saratoga when she was taken off the track after being pulled up. State-bred is working fine for her first race since then and trainer Bruce Brown will drop her out of a New York bred special weight contest into a $16K open claimer.

HOLLYWOOD PARK Race #2 at 10:30 PM Eastern

Top pick: #1 (GILLIGAN)
- Freshened up since an easy win at this price and distance at Santa Anita Mar 18, the leading trainer at this meet (Mike Mitchell) has him working well for this attempt and this once classier runner has the rail, the best early speed, and will be very tough to beat in this spot.

2nd pick: #3 (Courtside Action) - Races first off a Bill Spawr claim and a subsequent three-month layoff. Working well for this attempt, he looks next best, but has been handled easily by "Gilligan" the two times that they've met. Spawr names his "go-to" rider Pat Valenzuela and this 4-year-old can compete the exacta.

3rd pick: #5 (Asperity) - Drops in price and goes turf to "poly" for the Diodoro barn and 7-year-old finished second on this surface last fall in his only previous attempt on it. His lack of speed hurts his chances, but he should be closing strongly.

ALERT:

Track is Muddy and Races are Off Turf.

I wouldn't suggest wagering today.

Hope track is in better shape Saturday.

Best Wishes,
John Rothschild
